The Clemens Curse
The Clemens Curse was first discovered in the 1930’s when archeologist Dr. Henry Jones Clemens Jr. discovered the tomb of a then unknown Pharaoh. This Pharaoh was later identified to be Pharaoh Clemens the First. Clemens the First refused to pay tribute to the Egyptian River God when fishing in the Nile. The God cursed him and all of his male heirs to be lost at sea until proper reparations were made. The Curse can be traced to many Clemens’ deaths throughout history. Dr. Clemens was lost at sea returning the Pharaoh's remains to the museum he worked for. |
The next record discovered was that of Colonial Clemens. Colonial Clemens was an advisor to General George Washington and the Continental Congress. Unfortunately Continental Clemens did not live to see the United States come to fruition, he fell of the boat while crossing the Delaware with Washington.

Hippie Clemens is the next Clemens that the Courant found a record for. Hippie Clemens was
an original cast member in the play Hair. This might be where Mr. Clemens get his love of musical
theater from. Hippie Clemens was eventually lost during a freak , severe rainstorm during an outdoor concert.
There have been no more recorded deaths of Clemens due to the Curse but from what Civics Teacher Clemens has gone through it appears that the curse is really trying to get him. Perhaps he should consider offering tribute to the Egyptian River God.
